  • Rainbow Gift Can

    Designed By Dana DeCarlo

Create a gift container out of the ordinary with this simple project. Perfect for small items or edible goodies, and the giftee can reuse the can for something practical as an added bonus.

1. Use a flexible tape measure to determine the circumference of the can. Punch a border to that length plus 1/2" from dark pink paper. Cut a 1/8" wide strip of light blue paper and adhere it to the middle of the punched border. Adhere the completed border around the bottom of the can.

2. Punch a 2 1/2" circle from light blue paper; cover with 1/4" strips of paper scraps. Adhere a punched 2 1/4" light blue circle on top. Add a rainbow sticker.

3. Wrap a piece of ribbon around the can. Tie a longer piece of ribbon around the can above the sticker, and fashion a bow.

4. Measure and cut a circle of dark pink paper to fit the lid as shown. Adhere in place. You could add another sticker here if desired.
