  • Happy Halloween Cat Card

    Designed By Jennifer Brown

A little spider is dropping by to wish you a Happy Halloween as a spooky black cat peers out from the inside of this unique greeting.

Directions:

1. Cut a 5 x 8 inch rectangle from grey cardstock. Fold it in half to form a 5 x 4 inch top-folding card.

2. Cut a 5 x 4 inch rectangle from orange pattern paper. Stamp the cat image in the lower right corner with black ink. Glue the paper to the inside back of the card. Cut a circular opening in the bottom right corner of the card front to expose the cat image.

3. Cut a rectangle from black cardstock that is slightly smaller than the card front. Trim the bottom right corner in the same way as you did the card front and glue to the card.

4. Cut a piece of green pattern paper that is slightly smaller than the black rectangle and trim the bottom right corner. Accent the black lines and swirls on the paper using the glue pen and flocking powder. Glue the paper on top of the black rectangle. Add the brads along the top edge of the cut-out section.

5. Stamp the Happy Halloween image on pale grey cardstock with orange ink. Emboss the image. Trim around the image to form a fancy sign shape. Attach the image to black cardstock using 1/16 inch foam squares. Trim the black cardstock to make a border, following the shape of the pale grey cardstock. Attach the entire assembly to the card with 1/8 inch foam strips.
