The letter below comes from one of our employees here at EK Success Brands. We hope that you will be as moved as we were by Megan’s action to start a foundation and for having qualified in the Pepsi Refresh Project. We are so excited by her accomplishment, and we are asking your help to make her effort a winning one.
I have a small request that could end up doing very big things.
In 2007, my husband and I began a nonprofit, The Kyrie Foundation
, to raise research funds to cure pediatric brain cancer. It’s the #1 cancer-killer of children, and it’s often ignored. Just in the time the organization has existed, daily brain tumor diagnoses have jumped a whopping 10%, and no one knows why. That’s why we’re fundraising like mad, and this year we launched The Kyrie Foundation Tissue Bank Fund, which makes research possible for research teams across the country, like St. Jude’s, MD Anderson, The Children’s Hospital, Duke University and so many more.
On October 1st, we got word that we qualified for Pepsi’s October Refresh Everything $250K competition! Out of 1152 applicants, The Kyrie Foundation has gone from 332nd to 45th in just 4 days. Incredible! Now it’s solely up to public voting which is why I’m making this plea. Would you mind clicking for us? The top two ideas in the $250K category will win the grant. I just figure since we’re all about imagination, creativity and family, it just makes sense to preserve families and the little creative brains that light up our lives.
You can vote in 3 different ways, each way giving us one vote per day. I vote all three each day.
1) Vote by texting 103447 to 73774
2) Visit Pepsi Refresh’s Facebook page
and click “go to application” to vote
3) Go directly to the Pepsi Refresh Project Kyrie Foundation
page to vote
Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking a moment to click for Kyrie and what the foundation is trying to do to stop the often-overlooked #1 cancer-killer of children. I’ve scanned several of the top-ranked ideas, and although I’m extremely biased, I believe that our idea’s long-term value can end up benefiting the entire planet. It’s not every day we get to be a part of something like that. ;)
